It is Séverine Evrad’s turn to talk about her book De justice à justeesse: être avocat autrement. How to combine law and personal development.
This book proposes to lawyers to rediscover the profound meaning of their profession, by placing the person at the heart of the resolution of the conflict.
Faced with the fact that the traditional practice of the profession is doomed to extinction, the author pleads for the reinvention of the lawyer’s profession by adopting a new posture, guided by more openness to the other, more dialogue, inclusion and collaboration with the client in the resolution of the conflict, and by moving away from a binary vision of it.
The originality of the book lies in the fact that it bridges two traditionally separate worlds, that of law and personal development, to reconcile them in a holistic practice of conflict resolution. In this dimension, which touches the legal, emotional and personal aspects of the conflict, both lawyer and client are led to seize the opportunity of the conflict to grow personally.
Lawyer since 1995 and mediator since 2008, Séverine Evrard shares her experience to which she adds communication and emotional management tools as well as personal development tools adapted to the lawyer and mediator profession.
